Fun with toys

He is so cute playing with his toys. He is growing up so fast! He was playing ball with himself tonight and it was the cutest thing ever! Tomorrow we go to the dentist... he chipped a tooth last week and we just want to be sure there is no other damage since we aren't quite sure how it happened in the first place! Elliot sends big wet sloppy kisses to all his friends out there!

Out walking again

We needed some fresh air so we went out with the dog boys. The lights looked so pretty. Where is the snow?? Snow makes the lights look even prettier!

Christmas

We had a quiet Christmas at home. Elliot played with his toys but mostly wanted to practice his new tricks on his legs! He loved everything but had so many toys he would just go from one to the other and get a little overstimulated! Gramma D came by as well as Grammie and Grampa B! I hope Nonnie and Papa Paulie are having fun in Florida!

SO maybe it hasn't really been cold enough yet for a snow suit but I don't want my baby cold! He loves to go for walks... in the backpack...in the frontpack or in the stroller! Today it's the backpack!

Dr. Who?

We had a nice weekend. Nonnie Bonnie and Papa Pauli came by and we had a little fest. Elliot got the neatest drum music set! He loves to shake shake those bells!
Today we went to his 9 month appointment. She said he was the picture of a health happy baby! He weighs 20lbs.4oz. and is 29" tall. He flirted the whole time and held up quite well during his shots!

I looked over and there he was standing holding on to the couch!! I think I scared him to death with my gasp but I made sure to give him a big smile and clap. He was quite proud of himself. Watch out world here he comes!!

Busy week

Hello! I seemed to have slacked off this week with the blog! Elliot has been having a bad teeth week. I thought he had finnished cutting that second to tooth but he didn't.... it was the calm before the storm! He has had a low grade fever the last couple days and sleeping poorly. Today he was lethargic and cranky with a fever so I brought him to the pediatrician....he's teething. Mommy could really use some sleep for christmas!! The photo is Elliot in baby jail.... he thinks it's real funny!

Babysitter window

Back when we got Astro we would laugh because he could sit in the window all day and stay out of trouble. Now Elliot is following in his footsteps. He loves to crawl over to the window. All this time he would have been happy sitting in front of the window!! And in this picture IT"S SNOWING!!!!!!

Those dogs don't know what to think!

We think Elliot might think he's a dog! He chases them and It's all we can do to keep those doggies moving so he can't catch them!

Visiting Great Grammie and Grampa again.

What a long day! Fun but long. We saw Russell, Wes, Stacy, Nonnie, Great Grammie & Grampa and Mackenzie! Here is Mackenzie with Elliot. He was being so good letting other people hold him. He needs to teach his cousin Russ about that!

He is getting so good at bringing himself to a sit! He also did a little backward crawling yesterday. He is also becomeing more lovey. He leans in for kisses and gives hugs! Here is the latest picture of our sweet baby!

teething biscuit recipe

2Tbl. honey
2 Tbl. molasses
2 Tbl. vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 Tbl. soy flour
2 Tbl. wheat germ
or
2 Tbl. instant dry milk

1. mix well
2. roll to 1/4 or 1/2 inch thickness
3. cut into finger size sticks
4. bake at 350 for about 15 min.
5. cool and store in air-tight container

We had a nice day visiting family. Even Great Grampie got to get out for the day. Russell and Elliot took turns being grouchy.

TWO MORE TEETH!!

He sprouted two teeth last night!!!! One top and second bottom front!!! Maybe there will be sleep in our future!

Clean House!!

Today Elliot helped CLEAN house! Now the house is sparkly.... well maybe that is an exaggeration. These are the super cute footie PJ's that Mackenzie got for Elliot. Can you believe he is wearing 12 month clothes??!! Such a big boy! So sad no storytime tomorrow.

Grouchy Baby

Elliot has been in rare form these last few days! Kinda grouchy, biting everything and one. He hasn't wanted to eat so tonight I said okay you feed you. He had a grand old time mashing the food around... we had a grand old time cleaning it up!

He finally sat up on his own!!

This morning while I was folding laundry I looked over and he was trying to sit up! I watch for a minute and he pulls himself from flat all the way upright by himself! He was so proud and smiled and laughed. Such a cutie!

One Tooth??

Popular opinion states Elliot will go through life with one tooth!???

Rainy day

We had a nice mornig at storytime. The librarian brought a kiddie pool and filled it with balls.... Elliot thought it was the best ever! All the babies sat in the pool and played together. It was so cute! We spent the rest of the day at home inside playing because the weather was yucky. Now we are getting ready for bed and Daddy is reading a book to Elliot. Let's cross our fingers for a good long slumber!!!!

Long day

Boy did we do tons today! Elliot and I had a nice time at story time this morning. He really enjoyed the other kids a lot this time. He just wanted to squeeze the other little boys! Story time is mostly finger play and baby bouncing...he really loves it. Then we went to visit Great Gramps and he seems to be doing well. I would like to visit him more but little Elliot really doesn't like being cooped up! Then we had a nap a very short nap! After the nap we went to do some spying for Daddy's job. We pretended to be customers and were glad to recieve less than desireable service!!! Then we went to visit daddy at work and drop off the objects mentioned before regarding the spying. Of course Elliot pooped his pants visiting daddy. Elliot likes to visit because they all pay attention to him. He tells me about it when I leave. I did get a parking ticket.....and I was one of those people that I roll my eyes at because I didn't see it until I was driving so it still is on the car....my bad. If you don't see it do you have to pay it?? Then we zoomed home for a nap that was a whopping 15 minutes! Then we cleaned up and walked the dogs made dinner and ironed some clothes and before we could bat an eye it was time for bed....goodnight! Oh yeah and the picture is of our first son Astro.... he got into something and now he has a pink beard. Funny dog!

Trip to visit Grammie & Grampa

Today we drove to visit Great Grammie and Great Grampa I had a good time talking with my mom until I took a nap. Then when I woke up I played peek-a-boo over the covers....it was fun! Great Grammie let me play with a bangle and she taught me that lifes a beach and when I'm a husband I should by the wife what she wants! We'll see! She has neat stuff in her room...wedding dresses and veils...I got my fingers on one for a minute!

Sorry we've not posted much lately!

Elliots naps have gotten frightningly short and I haven't had time to do this kind of thing and the laundry! We have had a nice weekend. Nonnie Bonnie and Paul came and we did A 3.5 mile walk around the Back Cove. Boy was I beat... Elliot was not! Today he just wanted to go from sitting to his knees all day and if he couldn't (carseat or high chair) he would whine. He is perfecting a whine right now! Tomorrow we go visit Great Grammie in MA. I can't wait....Elliot is dreaming about it right now! As for the picture we are going down memory lane. This is when he was just a few weeks old. We will take lots of pictures tomorrow! So stay tuned for more adventures of Sleepless in Maine!

Story time

We went to a new story time today it was lots of fun. there were more babies close to Elliot's age there. He was very frustraited that they were all crawling and he wasn't. They did have a couple months on him! He struggled all day with the grumpies. He has a tooth that is taking FOREVER to come out and play! Let's hope we'll see it in the morning.

Dinner

Elliot really enjoyed his dinner of Green beans and sweet potato! He says thank you it was delicious! We had a nice day today....we went to playgroup and mom enforced a nice looooooong nap so we would have a happy baby this evening.
